This vaccine is recommended for in ovo vaccination of 18- to 19-day-old embryonated chicken eggs. The most protective commercial vaccine currently available appears to be CVI988/Rispens, an attenuated Marek disease virus strain that is also commonly mixed with HVT at vaccination.
