The Leman Russ, despite looking like a poorly designed tank compared to modern tank theory doesn't resemble a tractor in any sense.
Assuming around a 2.5 ton cannon (not unreasonable.. barrel plus other recoiling mass) that works out to a recoil velocity of ~21 m/s and a momentum of around 52,500 kg*m/s. I was playing Dawn of War and i suddenly saw my 3 Leman Russ Battle Tanks ENTER my Baneblade. Im not sure about the main armament on a Leman Russ though. The Baneblade's engines, normally used to move an artillery piece or enclosed turret, instead ram the Doomlord through all but the heaviest of obstacles.

The Baneblade and variants are a much bigger, heavier tank than those based on the Leman Russ chassis.

1: Both are tanks. A Leman russ can handle most threats if it is outfitted with the right hull and sponson weaponry, just not always with a high degree of efficiency.
My designated 2000 pts list consists of 5 chimeras (with infantry inside them) with supporting 4 leman russ tanks (battle cannon variants).
If you want a comparsion, the Leman Russ is a german Panther or russian IS 2, while the Predator is a M4 Sherman. DARPA is going to try out a fun little test for the lulz and for the science. The Leman Russ Vanquisher's main weapon, the Vanquisher Cannon, is a longer and more powerful version of the Battle Cannon used on the baseline Leman Russ.The weapon's firepower allows the tank to penetrate even the thickest of enemy armour. Punishers, Vanquishers, Executioners and all are no doubt going to get new, possibly radically different rules for 8th so you'd really want to have a good look at your options before commiting.
